Perhaps you've run a competition or a member of your team needs full Community access, here's how to give them a subscription to your Community.
There can be multiple reasons to give a member account a free subscription or add a product to their account. The good news is, the process is the same for any member you want to add a free subscription or product to.
Before you Make Any Changes:
It's important to remember that adding a subscription or product via the Console does not cancel or override any existing subscriptions a member has purchased through Web or Mobile platforms.
If the member has an active iOS, Android or Stripe subscription, do not add an additional free subscription to their account whilst their subscription is active. Instead:
- Ask the member to cancel their subscription (find resources on this here).
- Wait for it to reach its expiry date.
- Once it has expired, apply the free subscription for the member.
Adding a Free Subscription to a Member Account:
To do this, open the Console and select Engage and Members from the left hand menu.
Adding a Free Subscription to Multiple Member Accounts:
Tap on the small profile icon of each member to select them, and then select the three dots icon at the top right of the page.
Then select the option to Add Subscription from the menu that appears. You will be presented with a pop-out window providing you with the option to select the subscription you wish to add and the length of it.
Once you've made your choice, press Add and you will have successfully added the subscription to all of the selected members.
Adding a Free Subscription to a Single Member Account:
You can follow the method above to add a subscription to a single member account, by only selecting one member.
Alternatively, you can search for the members account and click into it. Once you have landed on their individual member account, select the three dots icon at the top right of their account page.
Then select the option to Add Subscription from the menu that appears. You will be presented with a pop-out window providing you with the option to select the subscription you wish to add and the length of it.
Once you've made your choice, press Add and you will have successfully added the subscription to the selected member.
Adding a Free Product to a Member Account:
A product can be a paid for Course that you have created or an individual in-App purchase that you have set up within your Community. These are one time purchases and are not time bound, once they've been applied to an account they cannot be removed.
To do this, open the Console and select Engage and Members from the left hand menu.
Adding a Free Product to Multiple Member Accounts:
Tap on the small profile icon of each member to select them, and then select the three dots icon at the top right of the page.
Then select Add Product from the menu that appears. You will be presented with a pop-out window providing you with the option to select the product you wish to add to the member accounts.
Once you've made your choice, press Add and you will have successfully added the product to all of the selected members.
Adding a Free Product to a Single Member Account:
You can follow the method above to add a product to a single member account, by only selecting one member.

Top Tips:
- If a member has a subscription that expired a few months ago, and you attempt to add a free subscription to their account, you may need to add multiple months to bring them back to the present time you want. For example:
- A member had a subscription that expired 5 months ago.
- You want them to have a free 1 month subscription.
- If you add 1 month of a free subscription, it will take their expired subscription to 4 months ago.
- You may need to add 5 more months to make a total of 6 to take their account out of subscription debit and into the 1 month credit you wish to give them.
- Please note, this only occurs for free subscriptions.
- If you add a product to a members account, you cannot remove this via the Console. Please reach out to the Support team and they will be able to assist you in removing this.
