An amazing upgrade to the Events feature is on the horizon. It's not live yet, but why not brush up in preparation.
We are preparing to release a brand new version of our Events feature, crammed full of powerful functions that will be sure to excite you and your members.
It's currently available for some of our early access Communities via the Console so you can view it, understand it and start planning for an Event-Full 2026 (pun intended...).
However, it is not live for all Communities or any members yet on the iOS App, Android App or the Web platform.
With that in mind, whilst you can create new Events in the new Events feature, please remember that they will not show until the feature is fully released.
Creating Events - Before the Full Release:
Right now, you can create Events using:
- The original Events system.
- The new Events system.
The new Events system is set to be fully released (made available for members) on the 10th of February 2026, and until it is fully released for your Community, any Events you create using the new system will not show for members.
However, we suggest creating Events starting mid February 2026 and after, so you are ready for the switch over.
You can continue creating Events in the current system, until the end of January 2026.
Once the switch to the new Events system is complete, any Events created in the original system will no longer be shown in the new Events system.
For example:
- If I create an Event in the original system for February 14th 2026.
- This will no longer be shown, once the new Event system has been enabled at the end of January 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions:
- What happens to Events I have created in the original system after the switch to the new system?
- All original Events will not show in the new Events system.
- This includes all past Events.
- Eventually, all Events created in the original system will be deleted.
- I have created Events in the new (V2) system, why are these not showing in my Community?
- Events created in the new (V2) system, will only show once it has been fully enabled on the 10th of February 2026.
- Until then, members will not see these new Events.
- I want to upgrade my Community to the new system earlier, is that possible?
- Yes it is!
- Please reach out to the Support team or your Customer Success Manager to set this in motion.
- Will I need to update my iOS and Android Apps?
- Yes!
- You will need to build new versions of the iOS and Android Apps once the switchover is complete.
- Will my members need to update the Apps on their phones?
- Yes!
- Once you have built and released the new App versions, members will have to update their Apps to see new Events.
- Will my members need to take any actions for the Web platform?
- No!
- Once the new Events (V2) system is live and enabled for your Community, it will be available for Web platform users without any action required.
