Your members have an exciting way to navigate the Events in your Community, let's take a look at it together.
As a Host you have a lot to look at and consider, however, it's also equally as important to view your Community from a members point of view. With Events being crucial to a Community, why not take a look at their experience navigating this feature.
Navigating Events in the App:
When a member lands on the Events page in the App, they're presented with a calendar view that shows them the current month they are in.
If there are scheduled Events on a day, they're shown in the calendar through the use of circular icons, with each icon indicating a different state:
- An unfilled circle: Indicates that there is an available Event.
- A shaded circle: Indicates that the member has declined the RSVP for the Event.
- A filled in circle: Indicates that the member has RSVP'd as going to the Event.
Members can navigate to different months by scrolling up and down on their screen, and if they land on a day of the month with an Event(s) in it, they will be shown a list of the Events beneath the calendar.
It's here that members will see:
- Your thumbnail image.
- Crucial information about the Event, such as its date and time.
- If the Event is for premium subscribers.
Members can also change their view to a list view, instead of the calendar view. This can be done by pressing the icon to the left of the search icon.
Selecting an Event in the App:
Once a member selects an individual Event they're presented with all the details for it that you have added, including:
- The RSVP options.
- Add to calendar options.
- Timezone details.
If the Event is a recurring one, then a member has the opportunity to RSVP for that individual Event, or all of the Events in the upcoming series.
Navigating Events in the Web Platform:
When a member lands on the Events page in the Web Platform, they're presented with a calendar view that shows them the current month they are in.
If there are scheduled Events on a day, they're shown in the calendar with each icon indicating a different state:
- An unfilled circle: Indicates that there is an available Event.
- A shaded circle: Indicates that the member has declined the RSVP for the Event.
- A filled in circle: Indicates that the member has RSVP'd as going to the Event.
In the Web platform, members can switch views from monthly, to weekly or daily and can skip to the next time period through the use of the arrows above the calendar.
They can also change their view to a list view, instead of the calendar view. This can be done by pressing the icon to the left of the search icon.
Selecting an Event in the Web Platform:
Once a member selects an individual Event they're presented with all the details for it that you have added, including:
- The RSVP options.
- Add to calendar options.
- Timezone details.
