You have a few Private Groups and naturally a few of your members have requested to join them. Luckily you can easily see any pending requests that need to be actioned.
A Private Group is exclusive, it has specific content, and you as a Host need to admit new members to the Group.
Before we begin, if you are unsure about the different Group types available, why not take a look at our article on how to create a Group first.
Auctioning requests:
To quickly see if you have any requests pending, log in to the Console and it will automatically open on to the Action Centre page. If you have any pending requests for your Community, they will show here.
We have two pending requests here, so let's tap on View Requests to get started.
We get taken to the Group management page and you're presented with the members who have requested to join your Private Group. You have a few options available here:
- You can Accept All to allow all requesters entry to the Group.
- You can Accept an individual member to only allow them entry.
- You can press the Cross icon to decline their access to the Group.
If you decline a member's access, they will not be notified about it.
Once you accept or decline the member(s) request(s), you will see the status next to the request changes.
Don't forget, it can be good practice to reach out to a member if you have declined their entry into a Group.
